It has been brought to my attention that the only reason whites in this country voted for Barack Obama is because they do not want Sarah Palin in office at all. Not even as vice president.
And that is fine. To each his own. But I am curious. Why do folks in America have a thing against female presidents? Talk to me. What do you think bad may happen if we had a female president?
While gender or race is factor in some people’s decision, I think most of America does not vote according to either, or at least not not vote for somebody according to either. Some women voted for Clinton and then McCain/Palin solely because of gender. Some black people voted for Obama solely because he’s 1/2 black. But I think the majority does not really care.
President Obama was the better candidate. McCain’s judgment had to be questioned for even considering a woman who only has a B.S. degree in journalism and who had been a mayor (with some help) and a short time in the gov’s office. She CLEARLY is not a good candidate for vice-president.
I don’t want someone in office who acts like the kid next door and is dumb as a door knob. I want intelligence, high levels of education and after W – a Constitutional scholar in the White House. (Common sense helps too.)
It had nothing to do with a black male being better that a white female.
a conservative black male president is better than a left wing female president
Females HAVE ASKED FOR THIS REACTION
Feminists CORRECTLY called for equal pay
yet except for lip service they never really pushed for women in the military
and they brought more disrespect their way by calling for lawsuits for everything which just reinforces female stereotypes that women will just complain which DOES A HUGE DISSERVICE TO THE REAL WOMEN WHO DONT SCREAM LAWSUIT
Feminists didnt come tothe aid of Monica Lewinsky for example for as they later addmitted they wanted the Bill Clinton bond to stay strong
So women have generally wanted their cake and eat it too which is frowned upon
women tennis players screamed for equal pay as men in the majors AND GOT IT BUT DIDNT CALL FOR EQUAL WORK. BEING REQUIRED TO PLAY 3/5 SETS
NO RESPECT GIVEN
So women have really brought on this disrepsect on their own
and some men were more than eager to help them
It wasn’t that we didn’t want a female at all. We didn’t want THAT female. She is obviously not qualified and not intelligent enough to even be the VP.
I think we made the best choice for President this time. If a woman runs whose stances on issues agree with mine and I think she could be effective, I would vote for her. It wasn’t Hillary, she was way too polarizing and I disliked the campaign she ran against obama. It was hateful and petty.
I would vote , and did vote for the one who I thought would be best for the country, and who best matched my own personal beliefs. If Hilary had won the primary, I would have voted for her. The Democratic philosophy, though not perfectly, most closely matches my idea of what is best for the USA.
I could care less about skin color or gender. What i want is a president who has the country’s best interests as his/her first order of business. I do not want a president who is more concerned with his political party and agenda. If the agenda is ruining the country, the president needs to go.
We don’t have a problem with a female President. A lot of us wanted Hillary Clinton. What we have a problem with is right-wing Presidents. Bush was one. Palin could have been another.
Fortunately, now that John McCain can’t be, and won’t die and leave her in office, there goes her last chance.
I’m still amazed that people made this a competition between Obama and Palin. He was running for president. She was running as vice president. Not the same thing.
Does anyone really, really think Joe Biden is more articulate than Palin? lol
…This is obviously a rhetorical question because there is no real way to answer it , the way it is framed. Basically, in my opinion, americans chose
the best candidate available after, listening and watching very carefully!
It had nothing to do with her gender, as much as it had to do with the fact that she’s crazy and came across as a complete ditz. Try as you might, but this is not about gender or race. Palin is scary, and completely incompetent.
Remember, we elect a president we would have a beer with, not a president we would sleep with…
No, for real, do you think that the race and gender are that important?
LOL, who brought that to your attention?
You are a fool. There we a lot of good reasons to vote for Obama/Biden over McCain/Palin, and most of them had nothing to do with race or gender
It’s not just about Palin (whom I believe is mildly retarded) but for some reason Hillary Clinton had to be cast aside in the primaries too, so you may have a point.
i’d vote for olympia snowe…but not palin. sorry she just came across to me as a ditz.
it was good to see that more college educated people voted obama…

16Because the black president (Barack Obama) is smarter than the white female (Sarah Palin).
Palin should be on “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?’

17I’d rather have a strong minded female over a weak minded male anytime, there are better black people in America to be president than Obama.
